From Monday 16th to Friday 20th June 2025, 45 students from 24 schools across Northern Ireland came together at Queen’s University Belfast for an unforgettable week of tech, teamwork, and discovery.

On April 2nd, the Ashby Building's Sir Bernard Crossland Lecture Theatre buzzed with excitement as final-year EEE students showcased their work at the Megaw Lecture and Prize Ceremony, sponsored by the IET.

A team of engineering students have developed a smart numnah with their company Equilyze — an innovative product designed to improve rider symmetry, horse health, and performance through cutting-edge sensor technology.

Two QUB Peer Mentors, Daniel Innis and Steven Trouton, both current Computer Science students at Queen’s University Belfast, led a practical Computer Science course for students aged 14–16 from Boys Model and Girls Model Secondary Schools.

The Great EEECS Bake Off raised £455 for Macmillan Cancer Support, featuring creative bakes including Elaine Sommerville's winning red velvet cake designed to look like the Computer Science Building, complete with sugar 'glass' panels.
